Happy new year, everyone! I wanted to let you know I've started putting together
my 2010 convention schedule. First on the agenda is ComiCONN,
a one-day show on May 15 in North Haven, CT. The guest lineup looks amazing,
so come on out, meet a lot of cool people, and introduce yourself to me. I'd
love to see you!

On Nov. 18, about a week before Thanksgiving, my friend Eric Martin died in his
sleep of a massive heart attack. Eric was a significant presence in the geek
world, especially among podcasters, and his friends have pulled together one
of the most impressively positive things I have ever seen the geek world do.
Eric left behind an 8-year-old daughter, and his friends have been raising money
for a fund for her. This week, the guys from Geek Syndicate
are running an auction for some of the most impressive items the nerd world has
produced, ranging from original artwork signed by celebrities to trade paperbacks
to signed DVDs and scripts. What does this have to do with MF3? Well, one of the
items you can bid on is a cameo appearance in the strip. The winner of the auction,
which ends Friday, will be drawn into the comic at a date in the very near future.
The auction for the MF3 cameo is here,
and the complete list of items is here.
I really urge you to check out the list on bid on something. Anything. This is such a great
cause and I can truly say I have never been prouder to be a geek than right now.

I know what you're thinking: You're thinking that one comic from me is all right,
but what would really make your week is for me to write and draw a second comic.
Well who says dreams don't come true. Starting this Saturday, and running every
Saturday and Sunday at www.pkdmedia.com, is my
new comic, "The Gang From the Store: True Tales from the Comic Book Shop." It is, as
you can guess, a comic strip journal of all the hilarious things that me and my
friends have said and done at my local comic book store. It's a bit of a different
creature from MF3, but I hope you all like it anyway. Of course, many thanks must go
to Shawn Pryor, owner of PKD Media, for hosting "Gang" and a bunch of other excellent
comics that you should really check out every day.

Wow, it's been a while since I updated the ol' blog here. I've been very busy
traveling and visiting friends and the like, and it's been quite the time.
Anyway, I want to welcome anyone I met at BICS, or the Big Apple Comic Con, or
who came here through the link at Evil Inc.
I hope you enjoy the comic, and it provides some small amount of entertainment
for you. And please, leave feedback, either on my Twitter feed, at the Livejournal
community, or directly through e-mail. All the links are above, and I always
love to hear from people.
